Youth Group gathers every Sunday from 5:00 - 6:30 for fun and fellowship!
Youth Group is about coming together as a community to support each other and grow in our faith!
Our Goals
To praise God. To give thanks. To celebrate our faith in a variety of ways and share our gifts!
To explore issues of faith, of the Bible, of our lives. To ask questions, to search together for understanding and guidance.
To discover how our faith relates to our daily living, home, school, community, and world.
To get to know each other. To learn how to affirm others. To build community and build trust.
We get together for music, games, group building activities, devotions, and prayer. Service and mission opportunities, along with retreats and trips, are offered throughout the year. We have a great time together on Sunday evenings with energizers, team building activities and games. Outings may take us to White Sands, miniature golf, rock climbing, skiing, or camping. In addition to these fun activities, our youth participate in many exciting mission projects during the year!
Youth Auction Desserts Every February
Most of the items are home-made...even better! Last year, talented auctioneers call out opening bids, while other Youth display the desserts at the front of the room and then carried them through the tables while bidders called out ever-escalating bids. One year, they raised $425 by appealing to the unflagging sweet teeth in the audence. They are thankful for the generous support of the bidders and bakers; and look forward doing this every year.
Youth Provide an Early Thanksgiving Lunch the Sunday Before Thanksgiving
After worship there is energy and focus in the Fellowship Hall as our Youth group serves the congregation a lunch of ham, mashed potatoes, salad, and beans, as well as an array of fabulous desserts. Thank you to the Youth for the annual delicious meal.
