I was glad when they said to me,
"Let us go to the house of the Lord."  (Psalm 122:1)

Welcome to our website!  We are glad you have stopped in.  And now we invite you to get to know us, our ministries, and our mission as you search through the site.  If you are looking for a church home, let us welcome you in person on Sunday morning at 10:00, or Wednesday evening at 6:00.

Our doors are open to people from other faith experiences, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey.  Our congregation comes from east and west, north and south to worship and serve together in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

You will discover this church home to be a place where you will matter, because you really matter to God!

Youth Fund Raisers

This past Sunday the Youth of RRPC put on SOUPER Bowl Sunday.  Clad in their teams' colors, they stood guard at both exit doors after worship, soup pots in hand, to collect money for Storehouse West.

Please join us next Sunday as the Youth conduct an internal fundraiser for their mission work -- a soup luncheon in the Fellowship Hall followed by an auction of delectable desserts.

Homecoming

Tim and Alia Osburn and their three children surprised Lori in church last Sunday.  Blake was seen outside with the family before church, so he and a few church members were in on it.  Sgt. Osburn is currently stationed at Ft. Hood and has been deployed to the Middle East several times.  They will be visiting until February 10.

Commission and Team Meetings Feb 4-5

The Presbyterian Women's Coordinating Team (PWCT) met Saturday morning, and the Mission Commission met Sunday after Fellowship.

Shepherds Provide Help and Support for New Members

The Membership Commission has started a mentoring program for new members this year.  We want to be sure our newcomers feel they have found a spiritual and friendly church home by having a partner to rely on...but only if they choose to take the mentor up on the offer.

Luminarias Take-Down Crew on a Bright Saturday Morning

The luminarias were removed from the sidewalk by Chuck and Marcia Roth, Denise Baker, and Karen Payne.  New Bulding and Grounds Commission member Denise did double duty, braving the 18' ladder to join Don Underwood, Joe Emery, Bob Crowley, and several others to clear the roof.  Phyllis Rasmussen and Marcia worked together to re-pack the luminaria, and everyone pitched in to tote the boxes back outside to the storage unit.

Member Spotlight: Former Pan Am Hostess Tells All

A 1936 article in the New York Times described the requirements for a career as a flight attendant.  "The girls who qualify for hostesses must be petite; weight 100 to 118 pounds; height 5 feet to 5 feet 4 inches; age 20 to 26 years. Add to that the rigid physical examination each must undergo four times every year, and you are assured of the bloom that goes with perfect health."  Were the same requirements in place 21 years later when Catherine Dau interviewed for work as a Pan Am "hostess".

Child Care Needed for Moppets

We need help with the children while moms attend MOPS meetings.  The children are aged less than a year up to nine years old. This is a great way to introduce the love of Christ.  In 2012, volunteers are needed 9:15-11:45 starting January 17.  Just ask Randy Morphew how much fun it is.

Help us spread the word about MOPS so we can grow our group of Moms.  If you know any newcomers with small children, tell them about our MOPS program.  It's great for moms to have a place to meet and give and receive the support of other moms.

Please contact MOPS Coordinator Gina Mitchell at 896-6892 or by email.
