Shirley has been directing hand bells for over 30 years, both adult and youth hand bell choirs.  She earned a Bachelors' degree in Music Education from Grove City College and a Master's degree in Education & Administration from Pace University.

Shirley and her husband, Don, are members of RRPC.  They have two sons and four grandchildren.  Shirley and Don also teach Round Dancing in Albuquerque.

In addition to her music activities, she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, and crocheting.
