Position Title:
Director of Music Ministry
After 42 years as a choral music teacher, my spouse, Nancy, and I made the decision to move to Albuquerque in February of 2008. We bought a home in Taylor Ranch and are enjoying the lifestyle and climate of this area. We also enjoy the wide open spaces and the wonderful scenery New Mexico has to offer.
The first 27 years of my teaching career were spent in Arizona, teaching choral music at the secondary level in public education. The last 15 years of my career were spent as director of choral music and music department chair at the college level in Kansas. During these years, I also served as church choir director and handbell director in 3 different congregations.
From August, 2008, until August, 2009, Nancy and I served as volunteer retreat hosts at "Corrymeela Knocklayd," a peace and reconciliation center in Northern Ireland, U.K.
We have two sons. Brian lives in Chicago, and Gavin lives in Chandler, AZ. Both sons are married, and we are blessed with 4 grandchildren.
Although I grew up near Philadelphia, PA, I consider the western part of the U.S. my home, since almost all of my adult life has been spent west of the Mississippi.
